The emphasis of this catalogue of an exhibition is on Mayakovsky's contemporaries (he himself is in fewer than half the photoes): poets of the avant-garde futurist circle such as Kamenskii, Kruchenkh, Avseev, and Pasternak; other writers whose lives were contemporaneous though they were of a different poetical bent like Chukovskii and Akhmatova.
