In excerpts from the artist's writings, she mentions how the influence of VKhUTEMAS (Higher State Artistic and Technical Studios) lasted into the second half of the twentieth century in spite of the suppression of the avant-garde in her case transmitted by an elderly teacher. Another key presence was Petr Miturich, whose grandson became the artist's husband.
