Moscow: Moskovskii muzei sovremennogo iskusstva, 2017. Sewn cl. This catalogue of an exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art publishes works by an artist who after working with Pavel Filonov and the Collective of Analytical Artists became part of the Circle of Artists. In the 1920s and 30s he created modernist landscapes and cityscapes especially of Leningrad. He had an uncanny talent to convey in his portraits the mood and character of his subjects without much detail. His He continued to flourish into the Brezhnev ere when he experimented with color lithography, becoming a central figure in the school of graphic artists that originated in the Leningrad Department of the Union of Soviet Artists. Not technically speaking a catalogue raisonné, the book does have examples from different of the vasious styles and subjects in which Vedernikov excelled. 434 pages, 31 cm, approx. 800 color illustrations, Rus. with summary in ENGLISH.
