In this catalogue of an exhibition at the Ludwig Museum in the Russian Museum Kaminker uses traditional materials in such works as "The Prodigal Son" from wood and "Ulysses and the Siren" from bronze and shows his consummate mastery of the art. In other works he creates sculptures by assembling detritus or combining sundry materials with a core of traditionally formed sculpture — for example, "The Aviator" commissioned for the new wing of Pulkova Airport in St, Petersburg.
