Prostranstvo Sterligova (Sterligova's space)

The first section of this unique exhibition catalogue publishes works by Sterligov, and the second shows works by other artists inspired by him, most of which were done in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Vladimir Sterligov worked under Malevich at GINKHUK. After a stint in the Gulag he returned to Leningrad and rethought his own art. Painting and drawing in an abstract style or in a stylized figurative one, Sterligov preferred bright colors and sought to infuse his works with joy and spirituality.
